Since I am awake at six in the morning since my roommate SUCKS, how about a little Harry Potter next gen conversation?

I am completely intruiged with the next gen. Truly.

Let's start with the Potters:

Albus Severus:
I think he's one of the most interesting. I keep flip-flopping how I see him. Part of me sees him as what Harry could have been - taking all of the sides of Harry that we didn't get - Slytherin, reserved, cunning, calculating. But I love my Slytherin with a heavy side of snark, and I just see Al as way too sweet for heavy snark. But I don't see him as brave enough for Gryffindor. He seems so meek, to me. But maybe that's because we got him as an eleven year old on his first time leaving Mum and Dad. So I could give him the benefit of the doubt. But in my mind, he is meek.

James II:
James is Ron Weasley reincarnate. Maybe with a side of James I. All loud mouth and not much going on between the ears... but perhaps a tad of James I's noble streak. And more than a tad of the arrogance. We already know he's Gryffindor.

Lily Luna:
Another Potter kid I'm torn on. I see her as Gryffindor through and through - she's her Mum in every aspect - but I'm torn on her personality. I've read her as spunky and spicey and full of attitude, but I've also seen her written as being quiet and reserved like Al. I much prefer her spunky. Definitely a Gryffindor.

Weasley Kids:

(Hermione and Ron)
Rose:
I see her as a Rosie, and a Ravenclaw. So take Hermione Granger. You have the total know-it-all bookworm genius, with a spunky streak a mile wide - the one that leads her to punching Malfoy in the nose and whatnot. I see Rosie as Hermione minus the spunky streak. And perhaps a bit of snarky wit. I'd rather like to think that Lily Luna inherited the spunky streak.

Hugo:
I haven't put much thought  to Hugo, mostly because I hate his name. I think if I ever write him, I'm going to Hufflepuff him, and have him demand that people call him "Hugh", like Hugh Grant. I think he'll be a butterball and possibly more than a little spoiled. But not terribly bratty. Sweet and childlike. He would get Hermione's tender side, and maybe a little of Molly's protectiveness.

(George and Angelina)
Fred:
George and Angelina's son. I haven't put any thought into him. I think in honor of his namesake he'd have the humor but perhaps a calmer disposition, saving his pranks for his little sister. He will absolutely be a Gryffindor.

Roxanne:
I think I'd like to say Roxanne inheretited the Weasley twin spunk. I think I'd put her in the same year as Lily Luna so they can be partners in crime. Gryffindor as well.

(Percy and Audrey)
Molly and Lucy:
I like to think the girls are twins. I'd say Molly is fiercer and Lucy is sweeter. Gryffindor.

(Bill and Fleur)
Victoire:
I love Victoire. I really do. I see her as a prissy, preppy blonde bitch. The kind who can wear a skirt that barely covers her ass, flick her hair over her shoulder, and have all the boys drooling and all the girls glaring. I rather see her as a Slytherin.

Dominique:
Dominique I see the opposite. She'll be blonde as well, and just as pretty as Victoire but without any of the arrogance. I see her with short hair and a sweet heart. I think maybe she'll be in James II's year. Gryffindor for her.

Louis:
I can't see Louis as much more than a toddler. I just see a curly haired baby. He won't be appearing in any Next Gen fics of mine except by mention.

Malfoy:
(Draco and Astoria)

Scorpius Hyperion:
Poor kid. That's way worse than Albus Severus. I love Scorpius. I do. I think he's my favorite, because Draco was my favorite, and now I have a little Draco that I can mold into whoever I want him to be. I like him as a Slytherin. I bet he's a sneaky bugger.

I'm going to be heading away from LJ until after DH comes out. Lame, I know, but that's how it is.

I'm pretty much not even going to check my email.

Call me paranoid, but for HBP i received an email from a hacked account where the email was blank, but the subject line read "Snape Kills Dumbledore, SNape is HBP, H/G, R/Hr, Draco Malfoy joins Voldemort".

Like... the ENTIRE book ruined. There are already spoilers circling around saying
But I'd just rather not risk it this time. I'll still be visiting personal LJs such as Helen's, but no HP comms. 

I am in the process of writing a Post-HBP fic. Unfortunately, at the rate its going, it won't be complete before DH. Which will make it AU. And I HATE writing AU fic. HATE it. 

But alas. 

So yeah. That's just your heads up. See everyone after DH!

The two missions quickly morph into one, and Harry's life flips upside down.
